SASDA's 25th Birthday & WNF Launch 10th November
Business, community and political figures from across the region gathered in the wonderful setting of the Locomotion - The National Railway Museum at Shildon to celebrate SASDA's 25th Birthday and the launch of the Working Neighbourhoods Fund - 'Engaging Employers'
The event was opened with a welcome from CEO Karl Bone, who greeted the guests and introduced John Robson, the first ever CEO of the agency. John provided an insight into the business support landscape over the past 25 years and reminisced about the early days of the agency.
John then handed over the CEO of Durham County Council, Mr. George Garlick who delivered a great speech detailing how the county could take advantage of the opportunities which lay ahead in the next decade.
The guests where then treated to an innovative video presentation which provided an over view of SASDA's current services. The film will be available to view shortly on this page.
Steve McDermott, one of the UK's leading motivational speakers then gave the audience some inspiration with a fine closing speech, cantered on the need to have vision in business.
