Paul Hetherington
Paul is the HR Specialist for the Working Neighbourhood Fund project having joined the Team after many years of experience in a variety of manufacturing organisations.
Paul’s background covers knowledge of businesses of all sizes and he has worked from the Shopfloor to the Boardroom. He is familiar with all aspects of business and is particularly skilled in reaching satisfactory outcomes, in the case of disputes and disagreements. He has proven problem solving abilities, allied to an understanding of the issues which can create barriers within a business.
Paul has lived and worked in County Durham throughout his life and is very keen to work with local businesses to stimulate employment. He has a common sense, down to earth approach and respects the difficulties faced by many businesses at this time. He is certain that the strength and resilience of the people of this area will be a major factor creating job opportunities for local residents.
Hobbies and Interest
For his sins Paul supports the only surviving North Eastern Premier League team, but would be happy to see the local rivals return quickly. His interests include walking, exercise, reading and music. He enjoys family life where his skills for peacemaking are often tested.
