“We want to constructively help peoples ideas become reality. Starting in business or becoming self employed is often a daunting thought and we want to ensure people can access the right support from the start “
Home life, hobbies and interests.
I am married with two children and three beautiful granddaughters who I spoil at every opportunity.
I have lived and worked in Sedgefield Borough all my life and find County Durham a beautiful County. As a lover of walking, County Durham offers fabulous walks, as does North Yorkshire and the Lake District.
My other love is cooking – or as I call it ‘playing in the kitchen’. It is so relaxing and I enjoy experimenting with flavours and different styles, and entertaining. (Housework is another matter entirely.) I am also a Rotarian in Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club, being the first female member when I joined in 2001.
My past experience of running a business and being self employed was a good grounding for my role as a Business Start up Advisor. With my husband we started and built up a successful Bed & Breakfast in County Durham which had a Four Diamond rating when we sold it in 2006.
Over the past 23 years I have been involved in Sales and Business Development with Training Providers across the region, and working voluntarily on Business Link Boards in Tyne & Wear and Durham.
